Hezbollah celebrates Iran’s ‘victory’ over Israel

Lebanese militant group, Hezbollah, has declared what it described as Iran’s victory over Israel after nearly two weeks of intense conflict, hailing it as the start of a “new historical phase” in Middle Eastern resistance against Western and Israeli dominance.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the group extended its “most sincere congratulations” to the Islamic Republic of Iran, commending the country for what it called “glorious divine victories” during the ongoing hostilities. Hezbollah lauded Iran’s “precise and painful” missile strikes on Israeli targets and applauded Tehran’s swift retaliation against American airstrikes on its nuclear sites.
The group’s statement added, “This is nothing but the beginning of a new historical phase in confronting American hegemony and Zionist arrogance in the region.”
The conflict intensified after Israel launched a major assault on June 13, targeting Iran’s nuclear and military installations and claiming the lives of several top-ranking officials. The Iranian Health Ministry later confirmed that over 610 civilians had died, while more than 4,700 sustained injuries during the Israeli strikes.
In response, Iran launched a barrage of retaliatory attacks on Israeli territory, reportedly leaving at least 28 people dead.
Hezbollah, known for its long-standing ties with Iran since its formation in the 1980s, has remained vocal in its support for Tehran throughout the conflict. The group described the events as a turning point for resistance movements across the region and reiterated its unwavering loyalty to the Iranian leadership and people.
Hezbollah also called for mass rallies in Beirut, urging its supporters to gather outside the Iranian embassy to celebrate what it described as “the culmination of sacrifices” made by Iran and its allies in the face of what it termed Israeli-American aggression.
While the group suffered significant losses during its own clashes with Israel last year, it reaffirmed its resolve, stating that “any form of surrender or compromise will only embolden our enemies.”
Tensions remain high across the Middle East, as regional and global powers continue to appeal for restraint amid fears of a wider escalation.
