JAMB to announce 2025 admission cut-off marks July 8

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is set to decide the minimum cut-off marks for the 2025 admission exercise into Nigerian universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and monotechnics next Tuesday, July 8, 2025.
According to a post on JAMB’s official X handle, @JAMBHQ, the crucial decision will be made during this year’s policy meeting, scheduled to hold at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja.
The board explained that the annual gathering brings together stakeholders from across the education sector, including heads of tertiary institutions, to deliberate on policy guidelines and other relevant regulations that will shape admissions for the 2025/2026 academic session.
“This policy meeting is where the admission benchmarks are set and other key admission guidelines are ratified for the next academic year. Attendance is strictly by invitation, but the public can follow the proceedings via JAMB’s social media platforms,” the announcement stated.
In addition to determining the general cut-off marks for universities and other institutions, JAMB is expected to announce the best-performing candidates in the recently concluded 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The outcome of the meeting will determine the scores candidates need to secure admission into their desired institutions across the country.
