Don’t live another man’s dream!

You are not a biological mistake. Even if your parents told you they didn’t plan for your arrival, you are certainly not an accident. God has a purpose for your life. We are unique and exceptional, endowed with remarkable talents and potential. However, two essential steps will set you on the path to greatness.

First, you’ll need to identify the area where you are most gifted and focus on it. This is a crucial step towards achieving greatness because when you concentrate on something you enjoy and that comes naturally to you, it no longer feels like work. You will put your heart into it, be diligent, and withstand challenges without faltering. This is called conviction. A person with conviction cannot be stopped! How convinced are you about your dream? When you truly believe in your dream, passion will fill every fibre of your being, driving you to persevere and push forward, even when faced with adversity.

On your journey towards success, you must be prepared to encounter resistance. Not everyone will celebrate or support your vision of success, so it is vital to approach life with wisdom and ensure you are both spiritually and mentally fortified. Your mind is a powerful tool—use it wisely!

Secondly, and just as importantly, you must identify the specific group of people your gift is meant to impact. True success lies in the positive influence you have on others. After discovering your talent and focusing on it, you need to determine the audience for your skills or product. This ensures you do not struggle despite your talent. Being in the right place at the right time is critical. How do you find the right place? Evaluate your skills or product, examine the world around you, and identify the category of people who need what you offer. That is practical wisdom! For example, if you are an aeronautical engineer, you cannot thrive in a remote village where such expertise isn’t required. It simply wouldn’t work.

As you progress on your journey, it’s also important to recognise when you have outgrown your current environment. If your personal development or influence surpasses the opportunities available in your present location, it may be time to relocate. Remaining in a space that no longer supports your growth can cause you to lose the ground you’ve worked so hard to gain—be it in influence, clientele, or opportunities.

Discover your purpose in life and fulfil it. Refuse to live another man’s dream—embrace your own!
