Gov Okpebholo restructures Edo State Ministries, expands cabinet to 28
The Edo State Government has announced a major restructuring of its ministries following approval by Governor Monday Okpebholo.
The reform, according to the state, is aimed at aligning with the Federal Government’s structure to ensure seamless coordination between the Governor’s SHINE Agenda and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
As part of the restructuring, the number of ministries in Edo State has been increased to twenty-eight, including the creation of new ministries and the revival of previously defunct ones. The move, the government said, is expected to enhance administrative efficiency, improve coordination across key sectors, and boost the government’s capacity to deliver on its promises to the people.
Below is the list of the newly approved ministries and their commissioners:
1. Ministry of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy — Pending Appointment

4. Ministry of Information and Strategy — Prince Kassim Afegbua

6. Ministry of Business, Trade and Investment — Omoh Anabor
7. Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security — Dr. Jerry Uwangue, FCISM
8. Ministry of Livestock Development — Prof. Omorodion Ignatius Ikponwosa
9. Ministry of Environment and Sustainability — Hon. (Barr.) Nosa T. Adams
10. Ministry of Health — Dr. Cyril Adams Oshiomhole

Governor Okpebholo reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to good governance, economic transformation, and institutional efficiency. He assured that the restructuring reflects his commitment to inclusive development in line with the SHINE Agenda and President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope vision.
