JAMB Registers 1.5 million candidates, says no extension plan for 2025 UTME registration deadline
Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has disclosed that the registration deadline for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) remains March 8th, 2025, with no plans for an extension.
According to JAMB’s spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the registration window, which commenced on February 3rd, will close as scheduled, as the deadline has been clearly communicated in all advertisements and the official calendar for the 2025 UTME exercise.
Prospective candidates are urged to complete their registration promptly to avoid last-minute complications. Meanwhile Over 1.5 million candidates have successfully registered, aligning closely with the Board’s projections for the 2025 examination cycle.
The Board’s calendar is fixed, with subsequent programmes scheduled after registration, including examinations, results management, and admissions exercise. Extending the registration period would disrupt not only the Board’s plans but also those of its partners.
