NAWOJ FCT felicitates with Muslims as Ramadan begins
The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), FCT Chapter, has extended warm greetings to Muslims across the nation as they commence the holy month of Ramadan.
In a statement issued on behalf of the association, NAWOJ FCT Chairperson, Comrade Bassey Ita Ikpang, expressed heartfelt felicitations to Muslim faithful, emphasising the significance of the sacred period.
Quoting the Quran, she stated, “O you who believe, fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you; that you may learn self-restraint.” (Quran 2:183).
She prayed for Allah’s acceptance of the fasts, prayers, and good deeds of all observant Muslims, while also wishing that the blessed month brings peace, prosperity, and joy to the nation.
