Super Eagles edge Jamaica on penalties to lift 2025 Unity Cup in London

The Super Eagles of Nigeria emerged victorious in the 2025 Unity Cup on Saturday, narrowly defeating Jamaica 5–4 on penalties following a pulsating 2–2 draw in regular time.
The keenly contested final, held at the Brentford Community Stadium in London, saw Moses Simon and Samuel Chukwueze find the net for Nigeria. Both sides scored in each half, setting the stage for a dramatic shootout that ultimately favoured the West Africans.
The Unity Cup, which ran from 27 to 31 May, made a highly anticipated return after a 21-year absence. It brought together four teams, Nigeria, Ghana, Jamaica, and Trinidad & Tobago, in a celebration of football, culture, and shared heritage.
