JAMB uncovers data discrepancies for 132 candidates across 887 CBT Centres

Published

on

JAMB has identified data mismatches involving candidates at 132 out of 887 approved Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres.

These discrepancies were found in the data of one or two candidates per centre, affecting a total of 200 candidates.

The centres involved have been sanctioned, and the affected candidates have been asked to rectify their data.

In response to these findings, the affected centres have been sanctioned after thorough investigation and queries. Although the number of discrepancies is relatively small 200 out of 2,030,627, it remains unacceptable to the Board. The candidates who inadvertently confirmed incorrect data are also held accountable for this oversight.

The 200 candidates identified as negligent have been invited to visit any JAMB centre to rectify the mismatched data. Additionally, the registration officers at the centres involved in these discrepancies have been permanently barred from participating in any JAMB registration or examination-related activities.
