Super Eagles climb in latest FIFA Rankings despite mixed Qualifier Results

Nigeria’s Super Eagles have moved up one spot in the latest FIFA rankings, rising from 44th to 43rd position.
This comes despite failing to secure maximum points in their recent World Cup qualifying matches.
The three-time African champions recorded a 2-0 win over Rwanda’s Amavubi but were held to a 1-1 draw by Zimbabwe’s Warriors.
However, despite this slight improvement on the global stage, the Super Eagles have dropped out of Africa’s top five teams.
The leading teams on the continent are now Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, Algeria, and Ivory Coast.
On the global ranking, Argentina, Spain, France, England, and Brazil remain the top five football nations.
